generally pretty easy to get along with and work with. that makings these revelations all the more shocking. his handling of it, frankly, terry mcauliffe and i don t agree on too many things. i would agree with terry, this was really badly handle by the governor. if he wasn t in that picture, he should have said it right off the bat. now, he s saying it after apologizing. i think resigning at this point would be an admission he is in fact in that picture, he was either wearing a klan hood or wearing black face to mock black people. neither of those is anything short of abhorrent. i don t think he s ready to admit that. that s an interesting perspective. i didn t hear anybody else say that that was an admission of him being in the picture if he were to resign. let me ask you this. the person who is his lieutenant-governor would make a good governor. his name is justin fairfax, 39
you know, it s absolutely fascinating, right? i mean if your choices is i was the guy in black face or i was the guy in the klan hood, you know you re in really, really bad shape. i have to say, i graduated from college in 1984, so we re around the same age. there s no explanation of, well, the times were different back then. i mean, this is for, you know, for our generation, it was very, very clear where things stood. you know, this is 20 years after the height of the civil rights movement, even in virginia, things had really moved beyond this. so, this kind of caricature, if he had any kind of explanation, he really needed to make it right up front. the fact that we haven t heard it and he seems to be baffled and confused about this, it impairs what happened in the life of public service. he spent time in the military. and his father was a judge.
