John Michael Seno, the city's SK Federation president, underscored Wednesday the importance of President Rodrigo Duterte's signing of Republic Act 11768, which amended the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015. Signed on May 6, the new law provides other benefits that include class exemptions and health insurance. A copy of RA 11768 was issued by Malacanang on Tuesday. Seno said the law will enable greater participation from SK officials in the city's 80 barangays, pointing out that many of the youth leaders have to spend their own money as they serve in the community.
