Kittery Art Association s Resilience exhibit, opens on Thursday, Feb 4

Portsmouth Herald KITTERY POINT - The Kittery Art Association’s first exhibit of 2021, an all-member show titled Resilience, opens on Thursday, Feb. 4.  Admission to the show is free and all are welcome. The spacious and airy gallery is limiting visitors to a maximum of four at a time, who must wear a face mask.  Hand sanitizer is available at the door. The exhibit will also be available for virtual viewing on its website, kitteryartassociation.org. As artists, our mediums – our clay, our brushes, pencils, sewing needles, and cameras are all ways in which we capture the world as we see it.  How do we see, how to we capture and represent the concept of resilience, of perseverance and recovery and the ability to bounce back from difficulty?  This important first show of this season will explore this notion, and perhaps in viewing the exhibit we might draw inspiration from a body of work touching on this important quality.
