Kitsap County Sheriff s deputies are investigating a suspicious death at a home on Tiburon Court in South Kitsap. SOUTH KITSAP A 36-year-old man found dead in a home in South Kitsap Saturday has been identified as William Matthews of Port Orchard, according to Kitsap County Coroner Jeff Wallis.  Wallis said an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, which will determine the cause and manner of death.  Kitsap County Sheriff s Office Deputies were called to a home on the 2100 block of Tiburon Court at 12:45 p.m. Saturday after Matthews was found dead.

Particularly during the earliest Seattle protests this year in the wake of George Floyd’s death at the hands of police in Minneapolis, protesters and others had accused officers of trying to conceal police misconduct by not recording their actions and by using black tape on their badges, which protesters said obscured officers’ serial numbers.
