Dimapur, Oct. 1 (EMN): International Day of Older Persons was observed in different places in Nagaland on October 1 on the theme “The resilience and contributions of older women.” Longleng: The International Day of Older Persons in LOngleng district was held at PBCA hall in Longleng town with the deputy commissioner of Longleng, Dharam Raj, as the special guest. CDPO and in-charge of DWO Longleng, T Longlang Luckpan, delivered the welcome address which was followed by an award presentation to senior citizens for 2021-2022. Speaking on the occasion, Dharam Raj stated that older people should be acknowledged for their contributions. He stated that older people have no hostile motives toward anyone but only hope for good things. On the occasion, the DC announced that the elder line No. 14567 would provide assistance to older people facing difficulties.
