Offsetting the bad news for Fiji is the inclusion this week of three Australian-based players – Frank Lomani, Moses Sorovi and Teti Tela – who, due to Covid travel restrictions, were unable to join them last week. Rebels halfback Lomani comes straight into the starting side, with Simione Kuruvoli dropping out altogether as former Reds and soon-to-be Rebels No 9, Sorovi is injected onto the bench, alongside playmaker Tela. There is one change to the starting forward pack, with Peceli Yato into the No 8 jersey, relegating Albert Tuisue – who hasn’t trained fully due to an injury – to the reserves. The other change to the backs sees Setareki Tuicuvu promoted from the bench to start on the right wing for Eroni Sau, who injured an eye socket in Dunedin.
