Photograph: Alan Richardson IT is that time of year when most of us make New Year resolutions and hopefully some of them will last all through 2021 and beyond, especially if that resolution is to help Scotland regain its independence. This time last year we were in the final weeks of the countdown to the UK leaving the European Union, much against the will of the Scottish people. Many Yes groups joined with their fellow Europeans across the country to protest at the UK Government’s action, and this year the anger is still there and growing as we count down to the end of the transition period, which officially ceases at 11pm tomorrow night, December 31.
