When police searched this luxury unit at Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton Ave., they needed lots of evidence bags. Police say they located:
– A black Springfield Inc XD5 45-calibre handgun with an empty five-round magazine inserted.
– A silver FN America Springfield 9-mm handgun with a prohibited 17-round magazine inserted with 10 rounds loaded and an 11th in the chamber.
– An extended 31-round 9-mm magazine.
– Numerous fraudulent identity documents with pictures of both accused on them.
– A large amount of Canadian currency, a gold Rolex watch and a diamond pendant.
– A ripped piece of plastic baggie containing a substance believed to be cocaine.

While 2020 has been a very difficult year for Calgary on so many fronts, residential development in the city centre continues to be strong as residential developers remain positive regarding its future.
The key to downtown and the city centre’s future is not filling up the empty office spaces (though that is also important), but adding more residential development and filling it up with Calgarians of all ages and backgrounds. A healthy city centre is one where the streets, parks, plazas and pathways are the front yard, backyard and playground for a critical mass of people. An ambitious goal would be 150,000-p
