A Villa Park man has been charged with carjacking an Amazon delivery driver last week in the western suburb.
The driver had parked his car near Danby Street and Kirkland Lane to make deliveries. When he returned, a man in dark-colored clothes pushed him to the ground and stole his 2006 Toyota Scion, according to the DuPage County sheriff’s office.
The car contained packages that hadn’t been delivered yet, the sheriff’s said.
An anonymous tip two days later led officers to the parking lot of a Villa Park motel, where they found the Toyota and Jiovani Villa, 21, in the driver’s seat, the office said.
