St. Clairsville veteran Robert Vincenzo looks forward to having his banner back on display after the New Year as the Noon Rotary Club prepares to launch its second program to place banners featuring area veterans along St. Clairsville streets.
ST. CLAIRSVILLE The faces of area veterans will again adorn lamp posts throughout the city as the Noon Rotary Club launches its second annual veterans banner display at the opening of 2021.
Rotarian Kirke Porterfield, who is helping spearhead the project, said the first display at the start of this year was a success and the banners from last year will go back up with no additional expense.

ST. CLAIRSVILLE Civic groups are seeking help as they work to provide food for residents of the 43950 ZIP code who are in need this holiday season.
Kirke Porterfield of the St. Clairsville Noon Rotary Club said there has been a strong response since launching the initiative Wednesday.
“We’re getting some requests from people who need help, and we’re getting some donations in to help from people who want to be anonymous,” he said.
“The donations are coming in, and we’re having people who want some stuff delivered,” he said. “It’s all food.”
