stories swirling around thomas. remember detectives to mark meadows? they were having conflict there were questions about her husband who sat on the highest court on the line and has the power to oversee trials related to the 2020 election and the insurrection. yet, democrats have taken no action at all. meanwhile, january 6th chair, benny thompson, says they are fine with not calling trump to testify before the committee. this brings me to this op-ed from kirk bardella. democrats need to stop behaving as if there is a prize for showing restraint. he argues that the difference between the parties comes down to one thing, republicans can go on the offensive while democrats go on the defensive. kurt right, when republicans have the reins of power, they do not hesitate to go off to the top. from bronco bombers burst diverted to emails and 100 biden s laptop, the gop is unapologetic about pursuing things for political gain. joining me to discuss all of
president trump announced his run. i was one of his earliest supporters. i supported him again in 2020 because the policies i believed in. the lesson here for congresswoman mace, trump will make you grovel. he will make you beg. but he ll never forgive you. and the rest of us will be wondering if you, much like the party of which you are a member, stand for anything or if you are just standing in the middle of an empty field where there used to be a big tent. so much to discuss. i haven t even gotten to the battle between kevin mccarthy and marjorie taylor greene. that s a lot. let me tell you. joining me now is david jolly, a former republican congressman from florida and the national chairman of the serve america movement. kirk bardella an adviser to the dccc and spokesman for the house overnight committee. and, oh, yes, here he is,
actually overthrow the election. they bombarded the justice department with dubious claims of voting irregularities. they pressured members of state legislatures to commit audits. they were actively trying to subvert democracy. and they re the same people who could head up crucial committees if republicans take back the house next year. joining me now is kirk bardella, adviser to the dnc and the dccc. and kirk entrepreneur lit, new york times best-selling author of the gatekeepers: how the white house chief of staff define every presidency. there are a couple of different kinds of chiefs of staff. there are the ones who tell the president things they don t want the hear, and then there are the kind that are simply enabler, particularly of a narcissistic style of president. here is a story, it s not from you, it s from tim alberta. it was in politico in 2020, and this is a story i think that
moore scandal has one republican saying that s enough. in a usa today op-ed kirk bardella says roy moore is the last straw for him. he s switching over to the democratic party. he joins us now from washington. what exactly about the roy moore situation makes u you want to switch parties? i think when you reach a point where the president of the united states, republican national committee would rather help elect someone who is a known child sex predator preying on teenagers at the local mall, they would rather put that person in office rather than someone who is a prosecutor that went after the kkk doug jones who happens to be a democrat but they would rather put roy moore in office than that just out of blind partisanship, that s gone too far for me. but kurt, republicans in the senate, almost every one of them have distanced themselves from roy moore. they said if he s elected they re going to be challenging him.
all leave if trump attacks one of them. a mass exodus would only add to the chaos swarming around trump s cabinet. joining me are kirk bardella, david korn, perry bacon jr., and vivian salama. vivian, i ll go to you first on this. to get a sense of your reporting on tillerson, he will stay or go. if mike pompeo were to go, that would leave another vacancy if he moved into tillerson s spot. we ve seen a lot of shuffling of the cabinet because we lost tom price, the health and human services secretary because of the wasteful spending allegations. so there s a lot going on at the same time. tillerson in particular we know that the relationship has been contentious with the president. he s outwardly criticized the president sometimes.
