As Sharon Martin pulled up to her friend Ramona Gash’s home in Kingstown, she was thinking the worst.
“I was thinking, ‘Oh Lord, something happened with the town,’” said Martin, who serves as a council member for her community of Kingstown.
Nothing was wrong. The numerous cars were there for a celebration of Martin’s retirement from Cleveland County Hospice after 10 years and seven months as the coordinator of community outreach.
As she walked up the driveway of Gash’s home, her face went from one of confusion to surprise when she saw members of Kingstown Community of Concerned Citizens gathered to celebrate her milestone.
