The Kingston Design Connection and Ulster Habitat collaboration is back with a second Habitat House, designed and furnished by local designers. Open house kicks off May 31.
Could your home be the 2024 Kingston Design Showhouse. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have a crew of professional designers, artisans, and artists reinvision your living space. See if your house meets the criteria.
On the occasion of its fifth anniversary, Kingston Design Connection is putting its annual October Kingston Design Showhouse on pause to launch a yearlong programming partnership with Ulster Habitat for Humanity including design pop-ups, networking events, and mixers.
The location of the fifth annual Kingston Design Showhouse has been announced. The 2,800-square-foot, c.1920s Victorian in Uptown Kingston is replete with historic details from original woodworking and tiles to pocket doors and stained glass. It's recent history as a commercial property provides a creative design challenge, including the installation of a brand new kitchen and a second bathroom.
The organization has partnered with the Kingston City Land Bank, whose mission is to restore abandoned homes in the town and return them to the real estate market.
