A man driving his 2009 Mercury Milan in the 1700 block of Kingsroyal Boulevard slid on snow Tuesday, causing him to crash into a residential fence.
Due to the impact, the vehicle’s ignition was stuck and would not turn off, according to a Pueblo Police Department incident report.
As the vehicle owner spoke with the owner of the residence, a white pickup truck believed to be a Ford F-150 pulled up and a man exited, hopped into the driver’s seat of the victim’s still-running vehicle and took off.
The suspect was described as a heavy-set male wearing a white baseball cap and a black, hooded sweatshirt. The victim estimated the value of his stolen car at $2,000. Police are investigating.
