UK Innovate the University of Kentucky’s innovation and entrepreneurship enterprise within UK Research has received a competitive grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA).
The $500,000 grant will support a project to boost economic recovery in Kentucky through technological innovations in agriculture. UK Innovate is one of five core partners leading the proposal and project, along with the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet, AppHarvest, Shaping Our Appalachian Region and Render Capital.
Kentucky Commercialization Ventures and XLerator Network received monetary prizes from the U.S. Small Business Administration to support inclusive entrepreneurship in the innovation ecosystem.
