Rankandfile officers back together, back on the same page . Theres a few things that can happen right now. Clearly the mayor has to do outreach to the Police Department. Hes already been helping in provide regular sources to the commissioner who has mentioned this morning that hes able to put some things together in place for the officers that will improve their safety. They need to stay on that particular issue, be focused on officer safety and the mayor has to make sure that in any statement he is makes hes recognizing that you cant paint police with a broad brush. For the last three years with police not to do that with the community and weve been Training Police not to be prejudiced and to treat people based upon their activity. Their what theyre doing. I think our leaders need to understand that police deserve that same credit. But when you look at the protests, so much has been said about the protests and how they were handled, certainly here in new york city, some have suggested
