Police accuse woman of killing radio presenter

Daily Monitor Saturday February 13 2021 Police in Bushenyi  District are investigating the death of a presenter at a local radio station who was  allegedly stabbed by his girlfriend. Police said Allan Mandela, 26, also known as Sports King Mateeka, a sports  presenter at Hunter Radio in Rwentuha Town Council, Igara East, Bushenyi District, was yesterday morning found lying in a pool of blood. The greater Bushenyi regional police spokesperson, Mr Martial Tumusiime, said they have arrested the suspect to help with investigations. “The suspect was arrested from the scene. She had locked herself inside the room of the deceased,” Mr Tumusiime said.  

Radio presenter allegedly hacked to death by girlfriend

Daily Monitor Friday February 12 2021 Advertisement Police in Bushenyi District are investigating circumstances under which a presenter at a local radio station was stabbed to death by his girlfriend. Police have identified the deceased as Allan Mandela, 26, also known as Sports King Mateeka who has been a sports commentator at Hunter Radio based in Rwentuha Town Council, Igara East in Bushenyi District. The Greater Bushenyi Regional Police Spokesperson, Mr Martial Tumusiime, confirmed the incident stating that the suspect has been arrested. The deceased was found Friday morning at about 5am in a pool of blood in his room that is just behind his workplace in Rwentuha town council. His body was taken to Bushenyi Health Center IV for postmortem.

Police identified the deceased as Mr Allan Mandela, 26, also known as Sports King Mateeka, a sports presenter at Hunter Radio located in Rwentuha Town Council, Igara East, Bushenyi District. He was found on Friday morning at 5am in a pool of blood in his room behind his workplace. The Greater Bushenyi regional Police Spokesperson Martial Tumusiime confirmed the incident and said that a suspect identified as Ms Loyce Tihainomwangire, has been arrested. “We have the suspect in our custody, who we arrested from the scene in the room of the deceased after she locked herself inside,” said Mr Tumusiime. Mr Tumusiime said Tihainomwagire and Mandela were a couple who had earlier separated but reunited.
