CONROE, Texas Conroe, Texas-based Lincoln Lumber has announced plans to open a new 1” focused pine sawmill facility in Crockett, Texas, about 45 miles west of Lufkin, where the company will produce lumber for end-users, wholesalers, and distributors across the Southern and Midwestern U.S.
Lincoln Lumber will transition its current complex and real estate, along with the purchase of an adjoining seven acres, for the production of 1×4 and 1×6 lumber. As part of the facility’s transition, the Houston-based commercial construction company KDW will add lay down yards and several auxiliary buildings at the 12-acre site.
Lincoln Lumber’s new Crockett sawmill will be capable of producing approximately 28 million board feet annually of 1×4 and 1×6 and is expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2021. Lincoln plans to continue to purchase raw material in the market as well to augment its production capabilities with the new sawmill, and to keep its plan
