Ahead of the ceremony, organisers have said that people watching King Charles' Coronation will be invited to join a "chorus of millions" to swear allegiance to the King and his heirs.
'His Majesty has a long history and a special relationship with Canada, and we look forward to celebrating his Coronation in May,' Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said.
King Charles became monarch of the United Kingdom and 14 other realms on the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth in September, but in May he will be crowned in a ceremony full of pomp, pageantry and solemn religious significance.
