SEVIERVILLE â Neighbors have started leaving flowers this week in front of a King Branch Road home where two people died in a fire over the weekend.
Gatlinburg officials have confirmed that Gatlinburg Police Officer Robert Frederick lived in the home at 540 King Branch Road and that he was one of two people injured in the fire in addition to the two people who perished.
Frederick, a five-year veteran with GPD, was in critical but stable condition Tuesday at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Officials did not release additional information on the victims Tuesday, and have not identified any of the occupants of the house other than Frederick.
