1 of 10 TEACH THANKFULNESS WITH A GRATITUDE WORKSHOP AT WOO-HOO: Engage children with the concept of gratitude at this workshop for kids aged 4 and above, based at immersive children’s play area and museum Woo-hoo in Al Quoz. Themed around Ramadan and making use of lots of tactile arts and crafts, children will be encouraged to create their own Gratitude Tree, and to talk about the things they are thankful for. Two Shrewsbury High School students have won the 2020 Congressional App Challenge from Massachusetts’ Second Congressional District, Rep. James P. McGovern recently announced.
Mahathi Gopinathan and Helen Liu created the Kindness Calendar app, which assigns users one kind thing to do on a daily basis.
The coronavirus pandemic has negatively impacted the mental health of millions of Americans. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, 53% of adults in the U.S. reported that their mental health has been negatively impacted due to worry and stress over the coronavirus. Mahathi and Helen created the Kindness Calendar in hopes of increasing positivity in others’ lives.

The Penguin Random House company, Snowman Enterprises is weaving a central theme of ‘togetherness’ through all of its brand activations for The Snowman this winter, with a focus on bringing families together in celebration, even when they are separated by Covid-19 restrictions.
