Picture this. A group of male prisoners (big, burly guys) and a group of tiny, tabby kittens (weighing about three ounces), meeting each other for the first time at the Warm Springs Correctional Center. It’s early evening, the sun is setting and everyone is settling in for the night. It’s calm and quiet.
Nevada Humane Society’s Bone Appetit program is combining great local restaurants with a great cause offering dining out as a way to give back to homeless pets. On Thursday, May 26, Café at Adele’s is raising money and awareness for Nevada Humane Society and you can dine with them to participate!
As I write this last column before Christmas, I know I’m supposed to be full of holiday spirit but I’m going to get personal. The last two weeks have been challenging.
