SHERMAN Although nothing is final about the state aid educational projections, the preliminary figures released by the state recently are “not as bad as we anticipated,” Michael Ginestre, Sherman Central School superintendent, told board of education members at their regular meeting.
“Keep in mind that this is preliminary. It has not been approved by the legislature,” Ginestre said. “For now, it was kind of a pleasant surprise getting our first run even though we know this is not final.”
Sherman’s preliminary aid is projected at $7,073,769, which is an increase of $152,679 from the 2020-21 projected aid, Ginestre said.
