Following the retirement of Dr. Deborah Larrabee, Mark E. Fish has been appointed interim principal of Fort Plain Jr./Sr. High School. Fish will fill the role for the remainder of the 2023-24 school year or until a permanent replacement is found.

FORT PLAIN A nominating petition to seek one of the two available seats on the Fort Plain Central School Board of Education can be picked up from District Clerk Rebecca J. Smith in the district office, 25 High St., during school hours, according to a news release.
The seats that are currently held by Mary Beth Hudyncia and Kimberly Keane are expiring June 30.
The petitions, with at least 25 signatures, are due back to the district clerk on April 19.
The district election is scheduled for May 18.
