ELMHURST, IL Eight years ago, Scott Levin, then Elmhurst s acting mayor, swore in his successor, Steve Morley, into the position.
On Monday, Morley repaid the favor, administering the oath of office to Levin, 66. It was during a ceremony that included a police and fire honor guard.
In the April 6 election, Levin, a Ward 5 alderman, took 41 percent of the vote, followed by Ward 3 Alderman Michael Bram with 34 percent and Ward 7 Alderman Mark Mulliner with 25 percent. Morley did not seek a third term.
