A business attorney and a western Wisconsin prosecutor will decide whether to file charges against a former police officer who killed a man in a suburban Milwaukee park five years ago, a judge announced Wednesday.
After months of waiting and re-scheduling, a county judge is set to appoint a special prosecutor to review the Wauwatosa police shooting death of a Milwaukee man in 2016, after finding probable cause through an oft unused state statute that allows for the public to petition the court, that the former officer committed homicide.
