Four Victorian Liberal Party operatives face potential expulsion and a further 170 members will have their memberships invalidated following a root-and-branch review of the party sparked by evidence of branch stacking and alleged rorting of taxpayer funds.
The partyâs administrative committee met on Thursday night to review the contents of a months-long forensic audit conducted by consultants KordaMentha. The report recommended structural reforms to the partyâs rules to make it more difficult to influence internal party votes through fake members and easier to discipline branch stackers who attempt to do so.
