Brighton cancels fall Applefest event for the second year in a row

Brighton’s fall festival will not be going ahead this year due to COVID-19. This marks the second year in a row that the September festival has had to be cancelled. The Applefest Committee says that the decision was made this year, as things are uncertain about what public health restrictions and measures will be in place by then. Roughly 10,000 people attend the event. Organizers are looking into if a small community activity can be planned instead. A final decision on that will be made in the middle of August.

New survey says 51 per cent of us can’t relax and enjoy ourselves when there are dirty dishes in the sink. Most of the time that is me. However, the biggest load of dishes (after supper) I can happily let sit until I get home from work the next day. But it’s the first thing I do when I come home. During the day I am almost fanatical about washing the breakfast and lunch dishes immediately. Another survey says most people would rather clean the toilet than handwash dishes. Definitely not me! Can you relax and enjoy yourself when there are dirty dishes in the sink?
