People love to read columns that start with, On this day in history. And as all the Back to the Future movies prove, we are getting better at perfecting time travel (even if the DeLorean was a financial train wreck.) so why can’t we write about, On this day in history in the future? Here is what my tea leaves are saying:

-The star ship Enterprise (named after the TV show) returns to Earth after The Federation finally realizes there are no more places to visit where no one has gone before. The crew is retired and spends the rest of their lives playing Scrabble and breaking the Prime Directive.
