Every few years, Paul Montelaro has to relive the worst moment in his family s history.
Kim Montelaro, Paul s older sister, was brutally raped and murdered in 1976 by Christopher Righetti, who was convicted in the 20-year-old s death a year later. When he was 16,
Righetti abducted Kim Montelaro in the parking lot of Paramus Park mall and then raped and stabbed her before dumping her body in the woods of Washington Township.
Now, Righetti could be released from prison when he becomes eligible for parole later this year.
This will be his sixth time up for parole since 1991, including most recently in 2016.
