This Wednesday night, on April 17, 2024, Death of Classical took its sold-out audience on a journey backwards through time, starting in Weimar Germany and going all the way back to biblical times with a series of song, dance, and shadow puppets. Andrew Ousley curates a number of delightfully strange events for DOC, and this night was no exception.
Bistro Award winning singer Kim David Smith was utterly mesmerizing at MORE MOSTLY MARLENE at Joe’s Pub on February 6th at 9:30 pm. Smith captured the essence of that famed star of stage and screen, Marlene Dietrich, and the period she represented.
I know you can’t feel it yet, but believe me, spring is coming. The proof is in the plethora of productions previewing on Broadway. Will they all be good? Hell, no.
