For the first time in months, people are hopeful of holidays abroad this summer, with a host of counties expected to be added to the government’s ‘green list’ if reports are to be believed. Lakefield College and 4th Line Theatre have made donations to Cameron House. In December, the theatre began collecting purses and personal care items to fill purses to distribute to women in need.
Overall, 64 purses were filled, $600 and tons of hygiene and personal products were handed over.
Managing Artistic Director Kim Blackwell says this initiative says this just proves that a few people can make a huge difference in their community.

4th Line Theatre’s Emerging VOICES Program is getting a helping hand from Nexicom.
Nexicom will again double the impact of donations from now until March 1st.
Donations to this program are used to pay for workshops, vocal and dialect coaching, acting and movement coaching, choreography and fight direction as well as technical production coaching.
Managing Artistic Director Kim Blackwell says what makes the program particularly unique is that local young people work alongside and learn from, professional artist. Between February 1st and March 1st, donors will be able to inspire more creativity, connection and confidence through their gift to the youth apprenticeship program thanks to the matching initiative.
