A school s entire board has resigned after they made disparaging comments about students parents during an online meeting that was accidentally publicly livestreamed.
California s Oakley Union Elementary School District board of trustees got together to discuss how to deal with the parents of students who sent in complaints.
An entire California school board on Monday, February 22, resigned after making disparaging remarks about parents in an online meeting that was unknowingly being publicly live-streamed. They want to pick on us because they want their babysitters back, one member said about parents during the meeting on Friday last week.
Another board member said that parents wanted their children out of the house so they could take drugs during the day.
The board members however did not know that parents had been joining the public call as it progressed. Uh-oh, said board member Kim Beede when she was told, several minutes into the discussion that it was now public.
Members of the Oakley Union Elementary School District Board in California came under fire after a virtual board meeting on February 17. The problem? The board couldn t resist trash-talking parents but didn t realize the meeting was being broadcast to the community.
During the public meeting, the San Francisco Bay Area school board members completely let loose when it came to their frustration with parents making disparaging comments and even using profanity. Are we alone? board member Kim Beede asks, not realizing the meeting was already open to the public, before lamenting about parents questioning the district about schools reopening for in-person learning. B h if you re going to call me out, I m going to f k you up.
