MORE than £300 worth of damage was caused after pairs of trainers were set on fire in a communal stairwell at a property in Musselburgh. The incident, which is being treated by police as fire-raising, happened in Kilwinning Terrace at about 7am last Thursday. East Lothian Police have appealed for information, stating: A number of pairs of trainers were set on fire within a communal stairwell, causing over £300 worth of damage. Officers are appealing for any persons who may have been within the area around Kilwinning Terrace between 6.50am and 7.10am to get in contact. We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have private CCTV or dashcam footage.
