The work of pupils from Kilshanny National School and Ballina Primary School, Ballina via Killaloe has been chosen to feature in the latest edition Global Goal Getters.
This online magazine showcases projects from primary school pupils taking part in this year’s Our World Irish Aid Awards, the Department of Foreign Affairs’ flagship global citizenship award scheme. Ballina Primary School also featured in the first edition of the magazine.
Since January, primary school pupils across Ireland have been learning in the classroom and at home about the importance of working with others to address global challenges and build a more equal, peaceful, and sustainable world.

3 Clare national schools are to receive broadband access within two years.
The government has announced that, as part of a speeding up of the rollout of the National Broadband Plan, high-speed internet connectivity will be delivered to 679 primary schools nationally by the end of 2022, even though some had been expected to have to wait for up to seven years.
The first 25 of those have already been connected, including Ennistymon National School.
