Police are investigating the alleged assault in Falmouth POLICE are investigating an alleged assault on a man who was punched several times while lying on the ground by another man wearing a high vis jacket. In a video posted online the man, is seen on the ground under a flurry of blows from another man in a high vis jacket along with two other men in high vis who are not involved in the attack. The video was taken from what appears to be from a shop overlooking The Moor in Falmouth yesterday afternoon. The man, said to be in his thirties, manages to get up and his attacker starts to walk away but as he tries to take a picture of his attacker on his phone the man in the high vis jacket runs over to where he is standing in the open doorway of a car and attacks him again.

Falmouth volunteers help clean-up the town

Trescobeas woodland litter pickers Falmouth’s ‘cleaning’ season has got off to a great start with a successful two-week programme of volunteer cleans. With 14 different locations, more than 130 volunteers and over 15 organisations involved, the initiative saw a record number of cleaning sites tackled by COVID compliant volunteer groups. Volunteer Jake planting new succulent bed on Cliff Road Coordinated by the Falmouth BID and Falmouth Town Council, the town’s businesses, community organisations and residents came together between April 24 and May 5 for a good old Spring clean. Beach, signage and shopfront cleans, litter picks, graffiti removal, and green space revamps all took place, in what has been described as another good example of the strength of the town’s community spirit.
