When the Niskayuna High School Outing Club was hit with pandemic restrictions, they had no choice but to stay inside.
“What are we going to do if we can’t get together?” said Tom Caffrey, a Niskayuna High School Latin teacher and one of two advisers to the outing club.
The club had done a couple of hikes last school year before the pandemic shut their outdoor excursions down. But Caffrey, his co-adviser Jeff Ormsbee and some of the club’s students wanted to find a project to keep them connected to one another and their passion for hiking.
Look at these rescues. they have a zest for life. we should only have such a zest for life. this sanctuary is amazing. they are home to over 500 animals. it s a no kill sanctuary. they take in cats and dogs who need special medical attention. i saw this i thought wow, how do these animals manage? they go on. they are happy. that s why i love animals more than people. greg: they don t remember. they just get on with it. they get after it. they don t think about it. after they have an injury, it s like they never had it. jedidiah: you can donate to the shelter. their website. these shelters are amazing. the work they do is life-changing for these animals. juan: i guess you have a dog. jedidiah: i have a dog and i m going to get another dog
