For the past seven years, the REEL East Texas Film Festival has been taking steps to transform Kilgore into a film-making destination. In the year ahead, the festival plans to come even closer to that goal with its eighth annual series film screenings and awards coming this November and plans in the works for a communal space located just outside of the Texan Theater.
