Teen dies after car and bike crash at Cramlington

Eighteen-year-old Kieron Finlinson, from Blyth, was critically injured in the incident and died on Monday. The collision happened at about 6.50am on Sunday, on the northbound carriageway of the A189 Spine Road. It involved a car and a cyclist and occurred just North of the Three Horse Shoes roundabout in Cramlington. Emergency services attended the scene and discovered an injured 18-year-old man in the road with the vehicle and pedal cycle remaining at scene. He was taken to hospital by ambulance but died of his injuries on Monday afternoon. He can now be named as Kieron Finlinson from Blyth. A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: Our thoughts are with Kieron’s family at this very sad time and we will continue to support them.
