The death has occurred of Michael Enright of Mount Singland, Garryowen, Limerick. Michael, died (peacefully) at Millbrae Lodge Nursing Home, Newport, Co. Tipperary. Predeceased by his parents Anne and John and sister Rita. Very deeply regretted by his cousins and friends. A private Requiem Mass, for family only, will take place in St. John’s Cathedral, on Saturday (February 13th) at 11am and will be streamed live. Funeral afterwards to Shannon Crematorium. Michael s funeral cortege will pass the family home after Mass on Saturday to enable neighbours and friends to pay their respects.

He ignored all public health advice in the early months of the virus.
The virus has infected every corner of every state. The United States in the 2020s is as divided as it was in the 1860s.
Trump has poisoned millions of Americans with his horrible virus of lies, fraud and deceit.
This culminated in the savage and brutal attack on America’s constitution by a gang of his thugs who genuinely believed that they were doing the right thing – following the president’s wishes.
I have been reading about the mad scramble for people to return home from the UK for Christmas.
I never write to newspapers and try not to vent but I am so annoyed looking at people who are so anxious to come home from a country so badly hit with another coronavirus strain about which we don’t really know anything.
These people seem prepared to put everyone else here at risk.
My son works in a hospital in London. He has just had all leave cancelled for January and February and will possibly be working on Christmas Day.
During the last big outbreak he worked 14- hour shifts dealing with very ill people who had contracted the virus.
