Bishop Auckland rooftop suspects remanded in custody

Youths pictured on the roof in Bishop Auckland last Thursday FOUR suspects have appeared in court in connection with a rooftop drama that involved young men throwing tiles at emergency service workers. Police charged the suspects after a daylight siege on terraced housing in Railway Street, Bishop Auckland, on Thursday. They appeared before Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Saturday. They are Jacob Johnson, 20, of Edward Street, Bishop Auckland; Jordan Reece Nicholson, 19, of Bell Street, Bishop Auckland; and Kieran Edward Manning, 20, of No Fixed Abode; along with a young man who was 17 last week at the time of the alleged offences.
