Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa MYSURU: In his 8th budget presented on Monday, Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa announced a bonanza for his home district Shivamogga. Two major infrastructure projects of the region i.e. Shivamogga and Hassan airports, got a budget boost. In his budget speech, CM announced Rs.384 crore for Shivamogga airport project and Rs 175 crore for Hassan airport project, which is pending for more than ten years. These two projects are expected to give a fillip to the tourism and economic activities in the region. However, there is no word about the expansion of the Mysuru airport.
