Citing the dangers of secondhand smoke, four high school students proposed an ordinance banning adults from using nicotine products, marijuana and vape pens in cars and public transportation where minors are present.
Five years ago, most Kansas City-area municipalities
banned the sale of tobacco products to those under 21 years old. Now four local high school students, including a Blue Valley sophomore, want to take things a step further and outlaw smoking, vaping and other tobacco use in vehicles where minors are present.
how will that impact that? we don t want people operating heavy machine. i am a hypocrite. you smoke when you are younger but you don t want your kids smoking. i think is the direction this country is headed in, though. i like the idea of the taboo around weed because it might repel people on the fence. i agree with something schumer said, if you are black and you walk around with a dime bag, they might book if you are that. if you are a preppie white kid in the suburbs and you are caught, they will say all right, run along. there is a double standard there. i understand people are upset about it. at the same time, pot is not really that good for you in a broader sense of the word. and jesse watters brings up a good point. parenting is hard enough. what do you think about
