In Memoriam: Remembering The Animation Industry Figures Who Died In 2020 The past 12 months, in which the spectre of disease and death loomed over everything, saw Cartoon Brew chalk up a sad record: we have never published so many obituaries in one year. None of these deaths were attributed to Covid-19. Yet during a period when light relief was needed more than ever, we instead found ourselves mourning a stream of departed talents who left their mark on our industry  animators and cartoonists, directors and producers, voice artists, dancers, and basketball players; famous and under-appreciated; old and young.
