A SPECIAL ‘Kids In’ day was held at New Siblands School in Thornbury last month. The National ‘Kids Out’ day is annually held on the second Wednesday of June, and for many years Thornbury Rotary has worked with the staff and parents of New Siblands School to give the students a visit to the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge. Not wanting to abandon the trip for a second year in a row, but having to abide by the school’s strict Covid regulations, the idea of a virtual ’Kids In’ day was born. The theme of the day was Rainbows and the school was decorated with balloons for the arrival of the students on the morning of June 9.
