Troy Jackson Coming to Caribou: Kids First Plan
A visit and news conference is planned May 28 in Caribou with Maine Senate President Troy Jackson talking about Kids First Plan to Improve Access to Child Care.
Jackson plans to visit with teachers and children at ACAP’s Action Program’s Early Care and Education Center in Caribou Friday. He also will talk to the media.
The schedule is a visit at 10 a.m. to the comprehensive child care facility in Caribou. The Aroostook County Action Program said “ACAP child care classrooms in Caribou, Houlton and Presque Isle are three of the four Step 4 Quality Certificate holding programs in Aroostook County. Step 4 is the highest level a program/provider can achieve under the Quality for ME voluntary program created by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.”
