They’ll make a decision on whether to approve authorization for Pfizer’s vaccine for this age group.
On Monday, the FDA authorized Pfizer’s vaccine for ages 12 to 15.
If approved by the CDC, about 17 million children and teenagers will gain access to it.
During clinical trials, the Pfizer vaccine was 100% effective at preventing COVID-19 in 12 to 15-year-olds.
Pfizer has also started testing its vaccine on kids from two to 11 years old.
