An orphan who arrived in Palestine as part of the Youth Aliyah effort to save Jewish refugees from war-torn Europe, she had lived on Kibbutz Afikim in the north before moving to Jerusalem. A lengthy search eventually revealed that Schwartz had converted to Islam, married an Arab man, changed her name to Leila Natshe Ali and was living in the Muslim Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, which in 1948 had come under Jordanian control. The couple had five children. After her husband died, in 1971, she wanted to return to the fold of Judaism. According to one account, Hanania Dery, the chief rabbi of Jaffa, was walking in the Old City when he happened to notice a woman who was dressed in Arab attire but whose facial features struck him as Jewish. Israeli digital catalog co Artlist buys rival for $65m Artlist is buying US company Motion Array and its stock of 500,000 digital assets. Israeli company Artlist, which operates a digital catalogue of music and video clips for content providers, announced today that it has acquired a US rival Motion Array for $65 million cash. The acquisition was completed in November through remote negotiations. Artlist was founded in 2016 as a boot-strapped company by co-CEOs Ira Belsky and Itzik Elbaz together with Assaf Ayalon and Eyal Raz. At first the company focused on music and sound effects and then in 2018 it launched a second site called Artgrid with video clips for use by artists. The company has 130 employees in its offices in Kibbutz Afikim, Ra anana and Tel Aviv. Artlist currently offers 17,000 musical clips, 15,000 musical effects and 100,000 video clips.
