KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) - Kiawah Island will be hosting the PGA championship this week on their esteemed Ocean Course.
The golf tournament will begin with a practice round that is scheduled to start at 7 a.m. Monday.
The practice rounds will be happening from Monday through Wednesday and tournament organizers say all spectators are required to park in the parking lot just past Freshfields Village.

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) - The Town of Kiawah Island says they have found three 4-day-old bobcat kittens in a den on the island.
Town biologists say they found two males and one female in the second den they’ve uncovered this year.
The den located on Flyway Drive on Kiawah Island does have a mother who biologists have named Bobcat 300, the town says.

Back in the Fall, the town of Kiawah Island started on Phase 2 of the project, with the expectation of finishing in December. Now, they hope to be finished with Phase 2, which is mostly landscaping work, by the middle of February. This includes removing overgrown vegetation to improve the appearance of the marsh from the parkway and to enhance the pedestrian paths along the parkway.
