Washington, a sophomore guard, announced her decision in a post on Instagram on Friday.
The move reunites her with Monarchs head coach DeLisha Milton-Jones, who served as an assistant coach for the Orange for one season. Milton-Jones led Old Dominion to a 13-11 record this season.

Former Syracuse guard Kiara Lewis is transferring to Clemson, according to a release from Clemson Athletics. Lewis led the Orange in points per game (14.0) and minutes per game (37.1) during the 2020-21 season. The redshirt senior entered the transfer portal on March 29.
Last season with Tiana Mangakahia sidelined due to breast cancer, Lewis led SU in points per game (17.6) and minutes per game (37.6) as well. She was named All-Atlantic Coast Conference First Team after starting in every game of the 2019-20 season.

Women’s Basketball Adds Syracuse Transfer
CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson women’s basketball has announced the addition of Kiara Lewis, a graduate transfer from Syracuse, to its 2021 class.
Lewis joins a 2021 class that includes five freshmen (Makayla Elmore, Kionna Gaines, Eno Inyang, Madison Ott, and Sydney Standifer) and a junior college transfer (Daisha Bradford).
A 5-foot-8 guard from Chicago, Ill., Lewis spent the last three seasons at Syracuse, where she appeared in 89 games, making 55 starts. She averaged 13.1 points per game for the orange, while dishing out 289 assists and tallying 112 steals. Arguably her best year for the Orange came in 2019-20, when she was named All-ACC First Team after starting all 31 games and averaging 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.

Former Syracuse junior Emily Engstler is transferring to Louisville. Engstler was the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Co-Sixth Player of the Year this season, leading SU in rebounds per game (9.1) and steals.
The junior guard started in just five of the Orange’s 24 games this season, all of which were during the postseason. She also had the second-most blocks on SU and averaged 10.5 points per game. Head coach Quentin Hillsman called her a versatile athlete who could play almost any position on the court on numerous occasions.
